Extremely Great For The Price - Infrared Wireless Headphones Review
The range is excellent too - works everywhere in my 1,300 square foot apartment and in the hallway too (when I go to take garbage out for instance). What I do agree with is that the control buttons are pain to use. I can feel the volume buttons, but have to work at it. If the buttons were raised above the case and separated, it would help. It is not like the way other manufacturers design their earphone. I am able to hear the sound around me and yet without having the compromised sound quality.
I should note that while I was listening to this selection I was moving around my approx. 1100 hem in an 1100 square foot apartment with no loss of fidelity at all. I live in an apartment building, so can't watch TV or listen to music very loudly without disturbing my neighbors. I've been waiting for some time to buy some quality wireless headphones that are lossless and affordable.
But day to day, incredible range and quality (I live in a townhouse and I can go between floors). It's much better than my older RS130.
Finally someone delivers and stands up to all the promises. After opening the box I was quite pleased with the build quality and color. You need to go by feel, and I suppose after some time this will become easier. Regarding range, there may be some slight improvement but not dramatic.
Well, it just has to be said. These are brilliant headphones in terms of undisturbed sound transmission and quality of sound. If these were stolen, I'd buy them again. The only con could be that, although the ear pads are very cushioned, my ears are a bit larger than the inside of the phone pad. I think RS130 is analog sound and RS180 is digital sound. Sound quality is very good and no static background noise. You will hear bullets in front of you, behind you, and to your right. They are great headphones and no regrets. I had original purchased the Sennheiser RS120 but wasn't thrilled with the lack of bass, volume levels and interference issues. It is easy to use these cans for long periods of time as the ear pieces are comfortable & compliant. I had forgotten just how good (& well produced) these guys were. That's what I wanted to do with this purchase, so mission accomplished. I have a friend that has an older set (HDR 130) of these head phones and I tried them out. There is even much more of a 5:1 effect than I get with my room system (which is also fantastic). So - I wouldn't even consider any other model, or for that matter, any other brand than the Sennheiser.
