The Elliott Frisby low-down
Elliott Frisby is a passionate singer, songwriter and musician with a field of excitement that follows him wherever he goes. Originating from Southend-on-Sea Essex, Elliott has been brought up to appreciate the love behind the music and to learn from any source along the way, which shows in both his compositions and stage performances.
Starting at the early age of seven, Elliott picked up his first instrument and knew straight away that music would be his life. At fourteen, Elliott received his first guitar, dropped all other instruments, and had soon learnt his first three chords and written his first song. In the years since, he has performed with orchestras and jazz bands, played everything from folk music to pop music… as well as many other styles. Elliott's career really took off, though, when he turned professional at 18, and worked as a singer/musician in a resident band at a holiday resort in northeast England. Along the way, he has performed with the likes of Donovan, Arlo Guthrie, Jimmy James and the Vagabonds, Heatwave, The Real Thing and many other established acts and up-and-coming stars.
Now, Elliott Frisby has spent the last eight years learning as much about his art as possible by performing in different places around the world, as well as spending time in the studio developing his natural technique. Loving the opportunities he's had to reach out to his listeners, Elliott has never forgotten the reason why he started his musical journey in the first place: to deliver his heart through song writing, and deliver his songs in dynamic performances that reach out to people.
"Music is from the heart, and I have a lot of heart to give", says Elliott." Writing is my way of giving the world a piece of my soul… and seeing the effect that it has on people's lives, I can happily say that I will never stop".
Everyday, Frisby strives to write the most passionate, inspiring, fun, and enjoyable songs that he possibly can, and he completed his first album in Nov 2005 which he recorded with Wild Oats records in Nashville Tennessee. Titled 'Rusty Road', Elliott incorporated the fun, hooky sounds of pop-rock with the great vibe of modern country, the result being a truly fine album. All ten of the songs on the CD are Elliott Frisby originals, and he delivers them in a soaring, emotional vocal style that makes the listener feel and understand every word he sings. Todd Sterling of Nashville's SHAKE! Magazine called the new CD "first-rate from start to finish… Frisby is an extremely talented singer and songwriter, and his London-meets-Nashville pop/rock/country sound should find an enthusiastic audience".
